We are so sorry to report, with deep sadness that our brilliant friend Filip Coppens, has passed away. The photo above is very special to Nazim and me as it was taken on a beautiful day when he and I had the pleasure of their company shortly after Filip and Kathleen were married. For a deeper glimpse at this wonderful couple see
Nazim took this photo of them at Barnsdall Art Center and Park which captured so beautifully the love in both their eyes.
As you may recall from my earlier blog in December entitled, ‘Creating a Miracle for Filip Coppens and Fundraising Effort,‘ when Filip was taken so very hill and was hospitalized, that there had been a valiant effort undertaken which was created initially to raise funds to help in Filip’s cancer treatment however this effort now is being continued to help Kathleen with the huge expenses that have and continue to be incurred.
Filip Coppens will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn, within a few feet of the labyrinth where he proposed to his beloved Kathleen.
This special fund of pure love and light for this wonderful couple will help to support just a small part of the funeral costs and staggering medical bills which accumulated over the last month. If Kathleen or Filip’s work, or the example of their life together, has touched you in any way, please give as generously as you can at this link http://www.giveforward.com/creatingamiracleforfilip.
We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Friends and loved ones of Filip Coppens are “creating miracles,” raising money to help Filip battle a rare cancer known as angiosarcoma.
I am sharing this amazing effort here on my blog first of all because Nazim and I love this couple and second of all your help is needed badly. Please go to the link I have provided which gives the full details on the fundraising effort that has been created in Filip and Kathleen’s honor which shares recent updates, more photo’s and links to peruse for both Filip and Kathleen’s amazing accomplishments!
