I am featured in a new documentary about Brooklyn and its Beer brewing history which I will be able to share with you in the very near future, so in that spirit, I thought you all who enjoyed my CelestialMusingsblog where I share some of my feelings about what it meant to be Miss Rheingold (1964) personally and politically, might enjoy seeing this list compiled on another Word Press blog, of all of us, Miss R’s. I was the 25th Miss Rheingold but also the last to have the distinction of having been elected by the people who were fans of the Miss Rheingold contest, for which I received 20,000,000 votes! We were really the first American Idols! xxoo

  2. Being interested in beer history (in America mostly), this was a nice story to stumble accross while taking a break. I really enjoyed it, life was so much more locally oriented not really all that long ago. But it seems like ancient history how much centralization there has been. At least the craft beer movement has helped get local back in style again, especially in the last 20 years.

    • My writing partner and I have come up with a book proposal for the whole Miss Rheingold history as a flash back from my year 1964 on back to 1940! We are going to do a bit of re-write and have my agent see if she can find a home for it.
